Job summary

Omada Health is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Solutions Engineering Team, focused on building scalable automations and integrations to support customer solutions. The role emphasizes Rails proficiency, API-driven work, and AI-assisted development to move faster while maintaining high quality.

You’ll collaborate with product and engineering to design tailored technical solutions, participate in on-call rotations, and grow your craft across Omada’s stack.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production code experience.
• Strong Rails experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and integrations.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and AI coding assistants.
• Experience with workflow-automation platforms (e.g., Tines, n8n).
• Track record of shipping measurable improvements and strong communication.
• Solid debugging and optimization skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC processes.
• Able to ramp onto unfamiliar codebases with support.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain home-grown and integrated tooling to reduce toil and automate processes.
• Own enhancements for automations and integrations across multiple systems.
• Investigate root causes and contribute to long-term fixes beyond firefighting.
• Collaborate with senior engineers for architecture and design of cross-system changes.
• Leverage templates and standards to promote reuse over customization.
• Utilize AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and quality.
