Job summary

STEP CG is seeking a Solution Architect in a remote role based in the United States, with travel as required. You will lead pre-sales engagements and delivery of IT networking and security solutions, research and design architectures, and advise on partnerships and technologies.

The role requires hands-on capability and strong communication to guide customers and engineers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in networking and security, experience across layer 3-7, and familiarity with Extreme,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in networking and security.
• Experience across layers 2-7, routing, switching, firewall, NAC, and WiFi.
• Ability to design architectures and deliver technical guidance.
• Strong communication and problem solving in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales efforts with STEP Account Managers and customers.
• Create architecture designs, BoMs, SOWs and related materials.
• Collaborate across STEP teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot OSI networking issues and security escalations.
• Maintain certifications and vet new vendor solutions.
• Contribute to in-house and customer facing wiki; mentor others.
