Job summary

STEP CG is seeking a Solution Architect to lead pre-sales activities and delivery of networking and security solutions. This is a remote position with travel, assigned to a primary geography, serving customers with architecture design and guidance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in networking and security, experience across L3–L7, and hands-on skills with Fortinet, Extreme, Aruba ClearPass, and Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in networking and security.
• Experience across L2-L7, routing, switching, firewall, NAC, and WiFi.
• Experience with integrating and programming languages such as PHP, Python, RESTful APIs, Ruby, Bash, TCL, and Perl is desired.
• Experience with network security solutions from Fortinet, HP/Aruba, Extreme, and Palo Alto is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales efforts providing technical design and guidance to customers and STEP Account Managers.
• Create BoMs, SOWs, and logical designs and other technical work products.
• Collaborate across STEP teams to deliver quality solutions to customers.
• Troubleshoot OSI networking issues and security escalations.
• Attain manufacturer certifications as directed by STEP CG leadership.
• Contribute to in-house and customer-facing wiki and share know-how.
• Mentor peers and perform other duties as assigned.
