Job summary

Redesign Group is seeking a Solution Engineering Manager to lead the Specialty Sales Practice. You will manage a team of Solution Engineers supporting data center solutions, including storage, compute, and networking.

The role is remote within the United States and reports to the Director of Solution Engineering. You will translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive multi‑product opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in enterprise IT with broad, hands‑on datacenter exposure across data protection, storage, compute, and networking.
• Experience with data protection and backup solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as PowerStore, PowerVault, Unity, PowerScale, or equivalent.
• Strong compute/virtualization knowledge (Hyper‑V, VMware, VCF, and other hypervisors).
• Solid networking fundamentals including firewalls, L2/L3, routing/switching, and site‑to‑site IPSec/VPN.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solution Engineers.
• Partner with sales to scope, design, and present datacenter solutions.
• Provide hands‑on technical expertise across storage, compute, and networking.
• Escalation point for complex, multi‑product opportunities.
• Ensure smooth handoff from pre‑sales to delivery and professional services.
• Build reference architectures and enablement content.
• Recruit, hire, and manage performance of engineers.
• Track pipeline support metrics and wins/loss themes.
• Stay current on portfolio and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate across multi‑practice opportunities.
