Job summary

SMA America in the United States seeks a Territory Sales Manager for the Midwest region. This remote role covers the Region 2 Midwest territory and Canada, requiring frequent travel, including to Canada and other US locations.

You will build distributor partnerships and drive sales for residential and commercial PV and energy storage systems. The role owns strategy, relationships, and results for the territory, working with distributors and installers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in sales or account management.
• Residence within Region 2 territory.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Authorized Distributors within the assigned territory.
• Identify market opportunities across the territory and grow SMA’s share in those markets.
• Prospect for and target solar and energy storage installers alongside our distributor partners.
• Increase SMA sales by building relationships with key installers and promoting SMA products.
• Represent SMA at residential and commercial PV and storage conferences, distributor trade shows, and NEC code events.
• Meet with distributor partners and installers to promote SMA technology and convert customers from competing products.
