Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to test and support our custom software for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting. The role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, Oregon.

You will build test cases, coordinate testing across teams, and drive improvements in automation and self-service support while maintaining clear ticket records and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience writing automated tests for TypeScript or Python code bases.
• 5+ years of software QA testing.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Achieve expert understanding of our custom software and integrations.
• Prioritize and manage testing work using Jira and release timelines.
• Coordinate with developers and product team members.
• Coordinate functional, regression, negative, and ad-hoc testing with QA team members.
• Write comprehensive test cases for functional test scenarios.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing through automation and AI.
