Job summary
SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team. The role supports our internal customers and tests our custom software for construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
The position offers full- or hybrid-remote work with regular office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, Oregon. Strong QA experience, automation capabilities, and Jira/Confluence proficiency are valued for ongoing quality improvements.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of software QA testing experience.
- Experience writing automated tests for Typescript or Python.
Responsibilities
- Achieve expert understanding of our custom software and integrations.
- Prioritize testing work using Jira, and coordinate with release timelines.
- Write comprehensive test cases for functional scenarios.
- Coordinate with developers and product teams for testing.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing through automation and AI.
- Provide first-line and 2nd-tier support and document issues in Jira.
- Monitor support channels and maintain accurate tickets.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest fixes to reduce tickets.
