Job summary

UpGuard Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. You’ll work across the stack—React and TypeScript on the front end, Go services processing security data at internet scale, and secure, reliable plumbing behind it.

You’ll collaborate in squads with product managers, designers, and tech leads; you don’t need cybersecurity experience but curiosity helps. Fully remote with global flex, equity, and learning allowances to support growth.

Qualifications

• Typical 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills.
• A backend language you’re productive in (Go).
• Solid relational database skills (PostgreSQL).
• AI coding tools as your default workflow, and the judgment to review and own what they produce.
• Pragmatic trade-offs: weigh technical quality against business needs.
• Low ego, high care: you’re in it for the product and the customer, not just the code.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing features across our React front end and Go services.
• Own well-scoped work end to end, with senior engineers to pair with and review your designs.
• Help keep the platform fast and reliable as we scale.
• Give and receive thoughtful code review and join the technical discussions that shape how we build.
• Go deep on the cybersecurity domain; it’s one of the best parts of the job.
• Grow toward senior, with increasing scope as you’re ready and a manager focused on getting you there.
