Job summary

Crogl is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Product to serve as the technical anchor for a software team, owning architecture and delivering the platform components that power secure digital estates. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to translate roadmaps into scalable systems.

You will design core AI-enabled capabilities with reliability and scale in mind, leveraging Go or Python, and drive high-impact initiatives from concept to production

Qualifications

• 8+ years of back-end engineering experience with leadership or architect responsibilities.
• Strong experience architecting distributed systems with Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience building or scaling AI systems in production.
• Business acumen and ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
• Continuous learning mindset and bias toward trying new approaches.
• Excellent collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, technical design, and delivery for your team's platform area, turning roadmap into production-ready plans.
• Drive the hardest technical decisions in your domain and resolve high-risk problems before blockers.
• Design and build core parts of our AI system (agents, LLMs, and RAG) focusing on reliability, evaluation, and scale.
• Own complex, mission-critical initiatives end to end from framing to production and iteration.
• Establish and champion engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, elevating quality through code and design reviews.
• Partner with product and design to uncover requirements and align priorities.
• Stay current with advances in software engineering and applied AI and bring relevant ideas into your domain.
