Job summary

Advocate Health offers a remote Social Media Internship for college students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in communications. The internship runs May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

Remote work is available to residents in IA and other eligible states. Interns will participate in content creation, community management, design, copywriting, video production, analytics and more to support Advocate Health’s external communications and brand journalism

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
GPA of at least 2.5.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

Create social media posts for multiple platforms, including graphics and copy.
Monitor branded social activity and respond to reviews or messages.
Design graphics for Pinterest/Instagram and infographics for brand journalism site healthenews.
Draft and edit press releases, pitches, talking points and external announcements.
Identify compelling stories highlighting organizational initiatives and impact.
Adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
Assist with ideation of social media initiatives.
Possible on-site involvement for events and partnerships.
