Job summary

Advocate Health is offering a remote internship focused on Social Media, Reputation and External Communications. The internship runs May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri during business hours. Remote work is available for residents in listed states, including Idaho.

The role provides exposure to content creation, community management, design, copywriting, video production, analytics and more to support Advocate Health’s communications strategy.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Produce social media posts for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, including graphics, written content, videos, etc.
• Monitor social media activity on Advocate's branded accounts, including reviews, messages, comments, etc.
• Design graphics for Pinterest and Instagram and infographics for healthenews.
• Assist with social and digital marketing campaign initiatives.
• Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, fact sheets, external announcements, and other communications materials.
• Identify and develop compelling stories that highlight organizational initiatives and community impact.
