Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a passionate Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to support community engagement and CSR initiatives. You will assist in program development, stakeholder outreach, event planning and impact reporting while gaining hands-on experience in communications and nonprofit collaboration.

You will work remotely from home, with up to 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri during May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, and you must reside in eligible states. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Integrity, maturity and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs and volunteer events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report on social impact metrics and outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications related to select initiatives.
• Conduct research on social issues and community needs.
