Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to strengthen ties with local communities and advance our social responsibility. The role offers hands-on experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting.

The internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with remote work options for eligible states and a 40-hour work week during business hours.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field with junior or senior standing.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute community outreach programs and volunteer events.
Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
Track and report social impact metrics and outcomes.
Contribute to internal and external communications for initiatives.
Research social issues, community needs, and best practices.
Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donation tracking.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
Build professional relationships and receive mentorship from experienced leaders.
Understand the role of businesses in driving social change.
Develop skills in event planning, stakeholder communication, and impact reporting.
