Job summary

NationsBenefits, LLC is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II (SRE) to join our remote engineering team. You will help ensure availability, reliability, and performance of production platforms by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and driving automation initiatives.

You will work with Development, DevSecOps, and Engineering teams to maintain cloud-native applications while supporting healthcare and fintech services.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Support.
• Hands-on incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation.
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
• Kubernetes experience including troubleshooting and workload management.
• Docker or container technologies experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work in high-volume, mission-critical environments.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work weekday shifts for global Follow-the-Sun support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first responder for production incidents; triage and resolve issues.
• Monitor alerts and perform root cause analysis; elevate when needed.
• Maintain high availability of cloud-native applications.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling (Python/PowerShell/Bash/Java/C#).
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, and Platform teams.
• Document incidents and ensure compliance with HIPAA/PCI SOC2 standards.
