Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer to architect, automate, and operate high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms. The role entails bridging MLOps and DevSecOps, delivering scalable cloud architectures across commercial, private, hybrid, and government clouds.

You will act as a customer-facing SME, translating mission challenges into actionable architectures, supporting technical scoping, and presenting platform capabilities during engagements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Proven ability to communicate complex infrastructure concepts to customer stakeholders as a technical SME.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container networking, RBAC, Pod Security, and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments.
• Serve as technical SME in client engagements, presenting solutions and scoping work.
• Drive Terraform-based IaC and GitOps with security guardrails from day one.
