Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required.
• Hands-on System Administrator experience in a large computer-based environment.
• Experience administering or supporting ServiceNow (config, maintenance, user management, workflows, or integrations).
• Familiarity with ITSM/IT operations workflows.
• Basic scripting in JavaScript or similar within ServiceNow or enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily configuration and operational tasks for the ServiceNow platform and supporting systems.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, including resource utilization and platform stability.
• Conduct system capacity analysis and assist with long-term planning for scalability.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and access controls per NIH/NIAID security standards.
• Support configuration updates, patching, troubleshooting, and routine health checks.
• Provide Tier 2 end-user support for ServiceNow and related tools.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, and business analysts for deployments and readiness checks.
• Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, runbooks, and change records.
• Perform log reviews, error analysis, and basic root cause analysis of incidents.
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery testing as part of continuity requirements.
