Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a System Administrator to support, troubleshoot and maintain IT systems across UNIX, Linux and Windows environments. You will handle day-to-day operations, including problem resolution, monitoring and user assistance for diverse client/server devices.

The role requires ITSM experience and a ServiceNow certification, with a strong focus on security compliance, vulnerability management and effective escalation to management and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 4 years SA experience may substitute for degree.
• 5 years SA experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• 2 years ITSM experience required; ServiceNow certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Manage daily IT system operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Configure and manage UNIX, Linux and Windows OS; install and load OS software; implement enhancements for reliability and performance.
• Support security controls compliance; perform vulnerability scans; communicate status to management and customers.
