Job summary

GE Appliances seeks a Senior Product Service Specialist – Water Heaters to serve as a technical resource for heat pump, gas, and electric water heaters. You will provide service support, product guidance, and troubleshooting expertise while partnering with engineering, quality, product management, and service teams.

You will help improve serviceability, resolve field issues, and translate field feedback into practical recommendations that enhance the customer ownership experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant field service or technical product support experience.
• Experience supporting water heater products: heat pump, gas, or electric.
• Ability to diagnose technical product issues and provide practical guidance.
• Experience reading installation instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, or troubleshooting materials.
• Experience contributing to service bulletins, technical documentation, or troubleshooting guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource for customers, distributors, dealers, and service partners on installation, operation, troubleshooting, and service questions.
• Provide technical product support for application questions, startup and commissioning concerns, and issue escalation.
• Support resolution of escalated field and customer issues through technical guidance with internal teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, product management, sourcing, and service teams to address service gaps.
• Review and update installation instructions, service literature, and troubleshooting guides.
