Job summary

The Auto Club Group seeks an experienced Senior Attorney to manage Circuit and Federal litigation with high exposure risks. This role is primarily remote, reporting to an office about every six weeks, and includes courtroom preparation, discovery, and trial strategy across Michigan and beyond.

Responsibilities cover case management, civil proceedings, insurance policy review, and collaboration with co-counsel and experts. A strong track record in high-stakes litigation is essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required and must be a member of the State Bar.
• Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in personal injury, no‑fault, or insurance litigation.
• Eight (8) trials in personal injury, no‑fault, or insurance litigation, with six (6) being first‑chair.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, file, and review all allegations; render opinions to claims personnel.
• Prepare responses to civil complaints and motions when disputes arise.
• Conduct discovery including depositions, interrogatories and requests for admission.
• Review insurance policies and pertinent documents; coordinate with experts.
• Prepare and submit pre-trial statements; conduct jury selection and opening/closing arguments.
• Lead trials in catastrophic loss/high exposure litigation; advise staff attorneys.
