Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to elevate safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations.

The role collaborates with operations management to drive tangible value and lead cross-functional CI initiatives. You will map processes, perform statistical analyses, and coach teams in lean principles while delivering go-live support and sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
• Transportation experience required (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• MS Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Excel/PowerPoint/Visio).
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Lean methods in continuous improvement and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis to drive process improvements.
• Manage CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop and apply Lean tools and data-driven methods across operations.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; coach lean adoption.
• Provide regular data reports and progress against site objectives.
