Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements with the option to work remotely or from Rocky Mountain offices.

The candidate will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765kV, lead project scheduling, and coordinate with clients and internal teams while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post education experience in the electrical transmission industry, delivering design deliverables for capital projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience) is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage transmission line projects up to 765kV.
• Lead and coordinate project scheduling, meetings, and client communications.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget development and forecasting.
• Contribute to staff development, QA/QC adherence, and safety standards.
