Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Telecoms Network Planner to guide the long-term growth of a nationwide telecommunications network. This fully remote role focuses on capacity planning, traffic modeling, and forecasting technology needs to keep the network scalable and competitive.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in fibre optics, wireless, and IP networking with strong communication skills to convey complex concepts remotely.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in telecom network planning, design, or architecture.
• Strong analytical skills in capacity planning and traffic modeling.
• Knowledge of fibre optics, wireless, and IP networking.
• Experience with network planning tools and software is advantageous.
• Excellent remote communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term strategic plans for network capacity expansion and technology evolution.
• Analyze network traffic data and utilization patterns to forecast future capacity needs.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for network enhancement and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to translate strategic plans into actionable deployment roadmaps.
• Create detailed network designs and proposals for new infrastructure investments.
• Monitor the performance and utilization of the existing network, recommending upgrades or reconfigurations as needed.
