Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise networks for a global, remote-first team. You will ensure reliability, security, and performance across LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless environments, collaborating with IT to plan upgrades and document configurations.

The role requires deep expertise in TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, and network security, with cloud networking experience and relevant certifications; a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in the field are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering in enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, and network security principles.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable enterprise networks (LAN/WAN/VPN/Wi‑Fi).
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize traffic flow for high availability.
• Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan upgrades and migrations.
• Develop and maintain network documentation (diagrams, configs, SOPs).
