You will collaborate with Tax Product Specialists, QA, Cloud Platform, Design, Product and Care teams to deliver reliable code, mentor teammates, and apply an AI-first approach to development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend development with system design, architecture, and OOP.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
• Proven track record delivering reliable software on schedule.
• Experience building scalable tax-related systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own features powering Cash App Taxes filing.
• Translate tax rules into maintainable, well-tested code with Tax Product Specialists.
• Build guardrails so non-technical contributors can safely change code.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, secure tax software.
• Write reliable, well-tested code and set best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, Cloud Platform, Design, Product, Care teams.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed on emerging tech and AI opportunities.
