Block is seeking a staff software engineer for the Cash App Banking server team to guide the technical strategy, drive architecture, and scale our banking services across deployments. You will collaborate with product, design and engineering partners to deliver robust, secure financial capabilities.

You will mentor engineers, uphold high standards, and apply an AI-first mindset to improve systems, reliability and developer productivity across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading large-scale features with delivery oversight.
• Ability to identify and land globally optimal solutions in complex systems.
• Proven track record of growing other engineers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/CE/SE or equivalent.
