You will collaborate with product managers, tax experts, and cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy, reliability, and ease of use while driving architectural decisions and best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fast-paced or product-centric environment.
• Strong backend development skills including system design and architecture.
• Experience delivering reliable software on schedule and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Passion for building innovative software that simplifies complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own high‑quality features and systems powering the Cash App Taxes filing experience.
• Translate complex tax rules into clean, maintainable code with Tax Product Specialists.
• Build tools and guardrails enabling non‑technical contributors to safely modify code.
• Drive architectural and design decisions for scalable, secure software.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with QA, Cloud Platform, Design, Product, and Customer Care to deliver cohesive solutions.
