Job summary

Block, Inc. is seeking a staff software engineer for the Cash App Banking server engineering team. You will help lead the technical strategy, drive cross-cutting architectural decisions, and improve infrastructure for a scalable consumer banking platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading large-scale features with delivery ownership.
• Ability to design and land globally optimal solutions in complex systems.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and growing teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall technical strategy for the Cash App Banking server team.
• Drive cross-team architectural decisions and infra improvements.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leadership.
• Coach and grow engineers to broaden their technical breadth and depth.
• Contribute hands-on with critical designs and code contributions.
