Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer & Engineering Team Lead to define the technical foundation, architect multi-MW modular power solutions, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering design team. You will own end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle, translate MRDs into rigorous requirements, oversee 3-phase power distribution and V&V, and ensure safety and reliability for rapid deployment.

This remote role involves candidates from the Americas with travel as needed; base salary range

Qualifications

8+ years in heavy industrial power systems design.
3+ years in a formal technical leadership or engineering management role.
Experience bringing modular or containerized capital equipment products from concept to manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in EE; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary design team: electrical, mechanical, and controls/software engineers.
Establish engineering workflows, design standards, and peer-review processes.
Coordinate engineering resources and schedules with Project Management to meet deliverables.
Translate MRDs into rigorous system-level requirements, functional specs, and ICDs.
Oversee 3-phase electrical power distribution system architecture and interfaces.
Develop FAT protocols and field commissioning guidelines; ensure compliance.
Evaluate critical subsystems (UPS, STS, switchgear, relays) and protective schemes.
Conduct system modeling and studies (short-circuit, relay coordination, harmonics).
Ensure designs are manufacturable, transportable, and installable.
