Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) for a 100% U.S.-based remote role. The position requires 8+ years in systems engineering, strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

Responsibilities include maintaining large-scale production systems, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Must have 3+ years of SQL querying and monitoring, along with expertise in Linux/Unix, Windows, automation, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments.
3+ years of experience with SQL queries and monitoring.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services and related tooling.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level day-to-day operational support of complex application cloud systems.
Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
Document problems and communicate status to users and management.
Be on-call for production system support as required.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless production operations.
