Job summary

Legends Field Group (LFG) is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to support our survey and utility projects from the office and help ensure our field crews are properly prepared before they mobilize.

This role focuses on lining out field crews, researching project information, QA/QC of field and office work, and coordinating with project managers and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review new projects and determine information field crews will need before mobilizing.
• Line out and prepare field crews with instructions, scope, maps, and project information.
• Perform extensive online research using county, state, federal resources and GIS.
• Research deeds, plats, easements, ROW documents, utility records, and project files.
• Perform QA/QC of field data, research, calculations, and mapping deliverables.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Surveyors, field crews, and drafting staff.
• Maintain organized project records and communicate findings clearly.
• Identify potential conflicts or missing information and escalate as needed.
• Take ownership of assigned work and follow through to completion.
