Job summary

Legends Field Group (LFG) seeks an experienced Senior Technician to support our survey and utility projects from the office and help ensure field crews are properly prepared before they mobilize. The role emphasizes lining out field crews, conducting project research, reviewing information, and providing QA/QC of field and office work.

Candidates should be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently with minimal direction.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying/utilities/pipeline/right-of-way.
• Ability to perform deed, plat, easement, right-of-way research.
• Strong attention to detail and QA/QC mindset.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of independent work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Review new projects and determine information needed before mobilizing.
• Line out and prepare field crews with instructions, scope, and research.
• Perform online research using county, state, federal, GIS, and public records.
• Research DOT records, including right-of-way maps and project documents.
• Review deeds, plats, easements, and survey records.
• Review project files for missing information or issues before field work.
• Perform QA/QC of field data, research, calculations, and exhibits.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Surveyors, field crews, and drafters.
• Help troubleshoot field questions and provide additional information when needed.
• Maintain organized project records and ensure documents are saved and communicated.
