Gulf Interstate is seeking a Senior Survey Technician for a remote position. You will QA/QC field survey data, draft, prepare field packages, and review notes, maps, deeds, and plats under the Project Manager's guidance.

Requires 5+ years in a survey office, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, and knowledge of land surveying nomenclature; fieldwork is preferred. Gulf Interstate is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a survey office environment
• Well versed in AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey-specific work
• Experience with Trimble software such as Trimble Business Center
• Basic understanding of Land/Civil Survey nomenclature
• Previous fieldwork experience preferred
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Understands project scope and requirements and communicates with the Project Manager on status
• Reviews notes, sketches, and records of survey data and verifies accuracy in data processing
• Prepares field packages for field crews (point files, DXF, KMZ)
• Performs QA/QC on field data according to Gulf standards
• Drafts maps and prepares deed/easement sketches and other parcels
• Prepares and finalizes exhibits and plats (ALTA Surveys, Easement Plats, Topographic Surveys)
• Adheres to Gulf Procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment policies
• Contributes to adding value to projects by meeting client expectations
• Mentors lower-level survey technicians in Gulf standards
