Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Substation Physical Engineer to lead design of electric substations up to 500 kV from a remote-based position across the U.S.

You will guide the Substation Design Team, develop physical layouts, grounding, protection, and BOMs while mentoring engineers and coordinating with clients. BS in Electrical Engineering is required with PE preferred; 7+ years of related experience and strong leadership, communication and project management skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE registration strongly preferred; ability to obtain/hold PE.
• Experience with substation design drawings and protection/ control.
• Strong leadership, communication and client relations skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for substation design/consulting.
• Act as project lead or independent reviewer for assigned projects.
• Lead and mentor engineers and designers on projects.
• Support proposals, scope development and marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate design activities with other disciplines and teams.
