Job summary

Tetra Tech's High Performance Building division seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join a flexible, full-time team. The role focuses on challenging projects across construction types in a wide range of sectors.

The successful candidate will guide design efforts, perform analyses, and deliver compliant structural solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Remote, hybrid, or in-office arrangements may be available, with occasional site visits and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with building and facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software such as RISA 3D or SAP2000; Revit proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Lead design for new construction, renovations, and additions.
• Develop structural systems for steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Perform and review analysis and design calculations (gravity, wind, seismic).
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review drawings/reports.
