Job summary
Actalent, a global engineering services firm, seeks a Structural Designer for a fully remote, 6+ month contract. You will develop detailed 2D and 3D structural designs for research and industrial facilities, using BIM and CAD tools, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from concept to construction documentation.
Qualifications include 10+ years of structural design, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and Inventor, and US citizenship.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- 10+ years of structural design experience with 2D and 3D tools.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and Inventor.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with construction documentation and BIM workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for facilities.
- Produce steel, concrete, and foundation drawings for construction.
- Create construction documents, shop, erection, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, PMs, and construction teams.
- Use BIM/CAD to support project execution and coordination.
- Participate in design reviews and clash detection.
- Ensure designs comply with codes and client requirements.
- Support multiple projects while maintaining schedule and quality.
- Assist with field support and design modifications as needed.
