Job summary

HKA Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Structural Designer for a remote role based in Portland, OR. You will develop structural models in 3D, produce 2D/3D deliverables, and translate input into construction-ready documents while upholding standards.

You will lead a small design team, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure quality and compliance across packages. Responsibilities include guiding the team, conducting reviews, and advancing design automation with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 3 years of Revit experience.
• Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed 3D structural models from verbal instructions, rough sketches, and engineering input.
• Produce complete sets of structural plans and details, including 2D and 3D deliverables.
• Translate engineering input into construction-ready structural documentation.
• Apply department and client standards consistently across models and documents.
• Take ownership of assigned scope and deliver accurate, complete work on schedule and to quality requirements.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of your work and review models and documents for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate design efforts with related disciplines and lead cross-discipline package reviews.
• Guide small design teams by assigning tasks, balancing workloads, monitoring progress, and supporting team members.
• Lead internal and external package reviews, attend meetings, resolve concerns, and help solve problems.
• Support clash-adjudicated design and quality coordination across design packages.
• Advance design automation skills and adopt emerging technologies.

Job Summary

In this remote role, you will develop conceptual and detailed structural models and produce 2D and 3D deliverables for advanced technology manufacturing environments, including semiconductor fabrication and support facilities. You will translate engineering input into construction-ready structural documentation while applying department and client standards. You will guide a small design team, coordinate work across disciplines, and review models and documents for completeness, accuracy, quality, and compliance.

Compensation & Work Schedule

PAY: $42.00/hr - $48.00/hr DOE

WORK TYPE: Remote

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• 7 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• 5 years of Revit experience.
• Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla.
• Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience with general industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor-related.
