Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Structural Designer 3 for a flexible remote role. You will use CAD/BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to develop 3D models and 2D drawings, while ensuring compliance with codes and project standards. Lead and mentor drafting staff within a multidisciplinary team, and drive timely design deliverables.

Qualifications include a A.A./A.T.D. in design and drafting (or equivalent), HS diploma or GED, and 7+ years of structural design experience.

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years in structural design with CAD/BIM experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD/BIM tools.
• Prepare design drawings and layouts with QA checks.
• Interpret codes and standards for structural design.
• Oversee drafting personnel and coordinate with teams.
• Develop schedules for design tasks and deliverables.
• Perform material take-offs for procurement and budgeting.
