Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Technician - Field Activities (TFA) at the US sites. You will manage on-site activities, install systems, perform preventive maintenance and calibration, and respond to urgent repairs at customer power facilities.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 80%), ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams, and strong safety discipline aligned with GE Vernova standards. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Technical/University degree or qualifying experience or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years in Field Services.
• 5+ years of field services or power generation equipment maintenance experience.
• Completion of level II training programs is required.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams and perform dial/laser alignment, thermal growth checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities and resources.
• On-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
• Respond to emergency repairs and service requests at customer sites.
• Provide instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation and operation.
• Prepare technical reports, material orders, quotations, and job status updates.
• Sign off on changes and drive customer satisfaction with quality.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with GE Vernova procedures.
• Travel up to 80% to various field assignments and projects.
