Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support on-site activities at customer power facilities. You will plan, organize, and monitor resources to meet contractual requirements, making decisions within defined parameters and resolving issues promptly at customer sites.

The role requires 5+ years in field services or power generation maintenance, Level II training, and ability to obtain unescorted security clearance.

Qualifications

• Technical/University degree or qualifying experience in a field services role.
• 5+ years of field services or power generation equipment maintenance experience.
• Successful completion of required level II training programs.
• Strong ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams and perform dial/laser alignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate management of site activities
• On-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration
• Respond to emergency repairs
• Provide technical instruction to customer staff
• Prepare technical reports, quotes, and job status sheets
• Sign off on all changes
• Drive customer satisfaction with quality
• Maintain safety mindset per GE Vernova standards
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on diverse equipment
• Coach and train team members in field engineering knowledge
• Prepare timely technical reports for records
• Ensure all parts are shipped to site
• Perform installation walk-downs with customer contractors
• Perform at-site aftermarket upgrades
• Work holidays, weekends, overtime as needed
• Extensive travel to/from projects
• Support GE Vernova vision and core values
