Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an on-site Technical Field Advisor to support steam turbine generator systems at customer sites across the U.S. This role requires leading outage crews, performing installations, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to service requests.

The position is remote within the U.S. with up to 80% travel to client sites in the U.S. and Canada, and occasional international travel. A mechanical engineering degree and strong safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of Power Plant experience.
• Willingness to travel 80% annually.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
• Successful completion of required training programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Lead outage crew including crafts, union technicians, and onsite services teams.
• Respond to emergency repairs and service requests.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain job status and time/expense reports.
