Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Field Service Technician to manage site activities, install systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations. You will coordinate labor, tools, and technical staff to meet project requirements and ensure safe, high-quality execution.

The role requires Level II competencies, strong technical document skills, and frequent travel to various project sites across NAM regions; English proficiency and security clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical/University degree or qualifying experience or a High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years in Field Services.
• Experience in field services or power generation equipment maintenance (5+ years).
• Must complete required level II training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage, perform, coordinate the management of site activities
• Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration
• Respond to emergency repairs and services
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives
• Prepare technical reports and job status reports
• Ensure parts are shipped to the site
• Conduct walk-downs to verify customer contractor work
• Perform aftermarket upgrades at site level
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required
• Travel extensively to projects and field assignments
