Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials seeks a Senior Site Activation Manager II to drive start-up and activation of clinical research sites globally. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure compliant, timely study delivery across complex programs.

You will mentor colleagues, improve processes, and collaborate with sponsors, sites, and regulatory stakeholders to advance clinical programs and patient outcomes. This is a remote role supporting teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a medical/biological/health/pharmacy or related field, or a 2-year degree plus 4 years clinical research experience.
• Minimum 7 years CRO or pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in start-up management, project management, site management, or related functions.
• Strong leadership, planning, organization, and decision-making skills to handle multiple priorities and drive site activation success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee study start-up and site activation activities across assigned clinical research projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for site activation deliverables, timelines, and project performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure critical path activities are on time and within budget.
• Monitor site identification, qualification, essential document collection, regulatory submissions, and contract progression.
• Assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to support on-time study delivery.
• Track, analyze, and communicate site activation metrics, milestones, and status to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with project teams to maintain activation plans and ensure budgets match study requirements.
• Contribute to proposals, budgets, bid defenses, and business development activities related to site activation.
• Coach and mentor Site Activation Managers and support SOP improvements and best practices.
