Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior Site Activation Manager II to lead the start-up and activation of clinical research sites on complex studies. You will partner with sponsors, regulatory stakeholders, and sites to ensure activations are compliant, efficient, and on schedule.

In this remote role, you will identify risks, drive mitigation, mentor colleagues, and contribute to process improvements while delivering strong operational performance across global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical/biological/physical/health/pharmacy or 2-year degree + 4 years of clinical research experience
• Minimum 7 years CRO or pharma experience in start-up/project/site management or related clinical research functions
• Strong leadership, project management, planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Thorough understanding of clinical trial start-up, site activation, and project planning
• Knowledge of ICH GCP and FDA/EU regulations
• Ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency; MS Office competence

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee study start-up and site activation activities across assigned clinical research projects
• Primary point of contact for site activation deliverables, timelines, and project performance
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet critical path activities on time and within budget
• Monitor site identification, qualification, document collection, regulatory submissions, and contracts
• Assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to support on-time delivery
• Track activation metrics and project status for sponsors and internal stakeholders
• Develop and maintain site activation plans and ensure budgets reflect study requirements
• Contribute to proposals, budgets, bid defense, and business development related to site activation
• Coach and mentor Site Activation Managers and support SOPs and best practices
