Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior Site Activation Manager II to lead the start-up and activation of clinical research sites across complex studies. You will coordinate with sponsors, project teams, regulatory stakeholders, and sites to ensure readiness, compliance, and on-time delivery.

This remote role collaborates with global teams across multiple time zones and requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a medical/biological/physical/health/pharmacy or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years of CRO or pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in start-up or site activation roles.
• Strong leadership, project management, planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Deep knowledge of clinical trial start-up, site activation, project execution, and overall planning.
• Familiarity with ICH GCP and regulatory requirements (FDA/EU).
• Ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; proficient with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee study start-up and site activation activities across assigned projects.
• Serve as primary contact for site activation deliverables, timelines, and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet critical path activities on time and within budget.
• Monitor site identification, regulatory submissions, and contract progression activities.
• Assess risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track activation metrics and report status to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain site activation plans with project teams and ensure alignment with study requirements.
• Contribute to proposals, budgets, and business development efforts related to site activation.
• Coach and mentor Site Activation Managers and support process improvements.
