Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and track adversary behavior. The role focuses on reverse engineering, exploit classification, and building automation to accelerate vulnerability research.

You will contribute to threat intelligence reporting, collaborate with the Intelligence team, and help develop mitigation strategies while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Remote work with occasional travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in user/ kernel exploits.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating systems, including Windows.
• Familiarity with standard web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficient with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting, especially Python.
• Ability to use LLMs/AI tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Proven experience applying AI to improve decision-making and workflows.
• Excellent written communication skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems for adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection capabilities for exploits, payloads and attack vectors.
• Create classification frameworks to aid attribution of intrusion activity.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis within static/dynamic analysis frameworks.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting with actionable guidance.
• Brief diverse audiences on complex analyses and collaborate across teams.
