Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits. You will join the Intelligence team to track adversaries, reverse engineer exploits, and develop automated tooling for exploit analysis and attribution.

Remote work is supported with potential travel, and you will contribute to actionable threat intelligence and mitigation guidance. The role emphasizes deep technical analysis, collaboration across teams, and high-quality writing for intelligence reports.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in user-space and kernel-level exploits.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and other OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficiency with disassemblers, decompilers and debuggers.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for tooling.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools and validate findings.
• Excellent writing skills for intelligence reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for adversary tracking based on observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection capabilities for exploits and malicious payloads.
• Increase visibility of threats using new data sources.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
