Job summary

Lumen Technologies seeks a Senior Manager of Release Train Engineering to lead a high-performing RTE organization within SDLC, ensuring consistent ART execution and strong coaching across multiple teams. You will drive governance, transparency, and outcomes, partnering with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and TPMO.

This remote role is open to candidates across the United States, emphasizing delivery excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement through automation and agentic AI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Agile delivery, release-train leadership, or SDLC operations.
• 3+ years of people-leadership experience managing RTEs or similar roles.
• Experience establishing ART standards, governance routines, dashboards, and escalation models.
• Strong knowledge of SAFe, PI Planning, ART operations, and portfolio governance.
• Ability to translate ART health and delivery data into executive insights.

Responsibilities

• People Leadership: coach, evaluate, and develop RTEs; set priorities and accountability.
• Define and maintain ART standards, playbooks, dashboards, and cadence routines.
• Align RTE work with PI planning calendars and portfolio objectives.
• Manage risk, dependencies, escalation models, and executive visibility.
• Monitor ART health, predictability, and flow metrics; drive improvements.
• Invest in automation and AI-enabled workflows to optimize delivery.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and TPMO to resolve issues.
