Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases end-to-end. You will decide between internal technician call-outs or third-party work, addressing mechanical and electrical issues, and communicating with drivers for quick uptime improvements.

Responsibilities include technical knowledge sharing, mentoring Tier 1 staff, and coordinating with RCRC and leadership to improve OEM quality and warranty outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in Ryder operations (shop) environment preferred.
• 2+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• 2+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime improvements.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, service provider interactions, and provide periodic summaries to maintenance team.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to the maintenance team, including OEM information and internal training.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team; provide status updates and periodic training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
