Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Consultant, Risk Analytics to join the Capital Forecasting team. You will connect P&C actuarial and financial-risk analysis to enterprise decisions, translating complex data into actionable targets and recommendations.

You will collaborate across Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management, Capital Modeling, and leadership to deploy a refreshed capital performance framework that aligns returns with risk and supports capital deployment decisions.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in financial risk modeling or actuarial functions.
• Strong knowledge of P&C financial risk and profitability.
• Ability to understand quantitative analysis and communicate the “why” behind targets and recommendations.
• Proven ability to influence partners across Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management, modeling, and business functions.
• Advanced presentation and storytelling skills.
• ACAS, FCAS, or progress toward designation preferred.
• Experience with stochastic modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, predictive analytics, machine learning, enterprise risk, M&A is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop quantitative modeling solutions for strategic business needs.
• Collaborate with departments to meet goals and initiatives.
• Build risk analytics strategies for business problems through collaboration and driving expectations.
• Lead understanding and analysis of models to ensure assumptions, processes, and outputs are well understood and standards upheld.
• Craft clear summaries of findings and recommendations with impactful storytelling and data visualization for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive business value by communicating strategic solutions to leaders.
• Lead development, testing, implementation, and administration of quantitative modeling processes and tools.
• Evaluate and rank quantitative solutions to business problems.
• Lead governance of modeling tools and ensure consistent application.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
