Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Consultant, Risk Analytics to join the Capital Forecasting team within Enterprise Risk Management. This role focuses on updating the framework guiding target returns, combined ratios, and capital analytics for P&C businesses.

You will partner with Finance, Actuarial and Risk leaders, translate complex quantitative outputs into actionable recommendations, and present findings to senior leadership. This role can be staffed fully remote.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial risk modeling, actuarial, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of P&C financial risk and profitability.
• Experience with stochastic modeling and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Ability to communicate complex analytics to leadership.
• Progress toward FCAS, FSA, CQF, CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic development of quantitative modeling solutions.
• Collaborate with departments to achieve goals.
• Develop risk analytic strategies.
• Review models across enterprise and ensure methodologies are upheld.
• Summarize findings with clear storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive value with strategic solutions for leaders.
• Lead modeling processes from development to deployment.
• Evaluate and rank modeling approaches.
• Explain benefits and limitations of modeling tools.
• Govern usage of modeling tools across the organization.
